천상의 책 제16권 40장 1924년 2월 10일

 

교회의 중심에서 새로운 태양으로 떠오를 책.

이는 교회를 쇄신하고 땅의 모습을 바꾸리라.

 

1. 나는 최근에 적은 모든 것에 대하여 생각하면서 이것이 꼭 필요하거나 중대한 것은 아니리라고 혼잣말을 했다. ‘그래서 공책에 글을 쓰지 않을수도 있었지만, 순명이 그렇게 하기를 원하는데다 이 일에 있어서도 '주

‘님의 뜻이 이루어지소서(Fiat)’ 하고 말씀드리지 않을 수 없었다.’

 

2. 그런데 그런 생각을 하고 있었을 때에 사랑하올 예수님께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다.

 

3. “하지만, 딸아, 그 모든 것은 내 뜻 안에서 사는 법을 알리기 위해서 꼭 필요한 것이었다. 네가 전부를 다 표현하지 않는다면 그렇게 사는 방법의 특성에 결함이 생길 것이고, 그러면 사람들이 내 뜻 안에서 사는 것에서 충분한 효과를 거두지 못하게 될 것이다.

 

4. 내 뜻 안의 삶에 있어서 맡김이 어떠해야 하는지를 예로 들어 보자. 내 뜻 안에 완전히 맡기고 살지 않는 영혼이 있다면, 그는 호화로운 궁전에 살면서도 어떤 때는 창문에서 어떤 때는 발코니에서 몸통을 내밀고 또 어떤 때는 정문 쪽으로 내려가는 사람과 같다.

 

5. 이와 같이 이 가련한 사람은 궁전의 방들에는 거의 들어가지 않거나 지나는 길에 잠깐 들르는 것이 고작이기에, 통치에 대해서 아는 것이 별로 없고, 그것에 필요한 일, 거기에 있는 재산, 자기가 가질 수 있는 것, 사람들에게 줄 수 있는 것이 무엇인지 거의 알지 못한다.

 

6. 그 안에 좋은 것이 얼마나 많은지 누가 알고 있겠느냐? 아무도 모르고 그도 모른다. 그러니 의당 좋아해야 할 만큼 궁전을 좋아하지 않고 존중할 가치가 있는 만큼 존중하지도 않는다.

 

7. 그러므로 내 뜻 안에 살면서 여기에 자기를 완전히 맡기지 않는 사람에게는 자기에 대한 생각이나 걱정, 두려움, 내적 소란이 바로 그가 내 뜻 안에서 만드는 창문이나 발코니나 정문이다. 그렇게 툭하면 밖으로 나감으로써 인생의 비참한 것들을 보고 느끼지 않을 수 없어지는 것이다.

 

8. 그 비참한 것들이 그의 재산인 반면 내 뜻의 부(富)는 나의 것이므로 그는 풍요한 것보다는 빈약한 것에 더 집착하게 된다. 따라서 내 뜻 안에서 사는 것이 의미하는 바를 좋아하지도 즐기지도 못하게 된다. 이런 식으로 궁전 정문을 만들어 가다가 자기 뜻의 누추한 오두막에서 살기 위해 언젠가는 영 나가 버리고 만다.

 

9. 그러니, 보아라, 내 뜻 안에서 살려면 내게 자기를 완전히 맡기는 것이 얼마나 긴요한 일이냐!

 

10. 나의 뜻은 인간 뜻의 비참한 것들을 필요로 하지 않는다. 내 뜻이 원하는 것은, 피조물이 (현세에서) 귀양살이하는 동안 스스로 비축한 볼품없는 식량 없이, 내 뜻의 태 안에서 태어났을 때처럼 이 뜻과 함께 아름답게 사는 것이다.

 

11. 그렇게 하지 않으면 불일치가 생겨, 나의 뜻에는 비통을 가져오고 인간 뜻에는 불행을 가져오기 마련이다.

 

12. 내 뜻 안에서 살려면 완전한 맡김이 요구된다는 점을 그들에게 이해시키는 것 - 이것이 얼마나 필요한 일인지 이제 알겠느냐? 그럼에도 너는 이에 대해 꼭 기록할 필요는 없을 것이라고 여긴다. 나는 그런 네가 딱하기까지 하다. 내가 보는 것을 너는 못 보니까 그토록 가볍게 생각하는 것이다.

 

13. 널리 만물을 내다보는 나의 전지(全知)를 통하여 나는 이 저작이 내 교회의 중심에서 떠오르는 새로운 태양이 되리라는 것과 사람들이 이 태양의 빛나는 광채에 끌려 빛으로 변화되며 영화(靈化)되고 신화(神化)되려고 마음을 쏟으리라는 것, 그리하여 교회가 쇄신됨에 따라 그들이 땅의 모습을 바꾸리라는 것을 알고 있다.

 

14. 나의 뜻에 관한 가르침은 지극히 순수하고 아름다우며, 초자연적 질서 속에서건 자연적 질서 속에서건 물질 요소나 사사로운 이해타산이 티끌만큼도 없는 것이다. 그러므로 그것은 태양과 같을 것이다.

 

15. 아니 더욱 날카로운 침투력과 더욱 풍요한 생산성이 있어서 더욱 기꺼이 받아들여지고 인정을 받을 것이다. 더군다나 이것은 ‘빛’이기 때문에 그 자체로 자신을 알게 하며 뻗어 나갈것이니, 의심할 여지나 오류가 없을 것이다. 어떤 말마디가 이해되지 않는다면 그것은 과도한 빛 때문일 것이다.

 

16. 인간이 이 진리 전체를 온전히 이해할 수 없는 것은 지나칠 정도로 강한 그 빛에 지성이 흐려진 탓이겠지만, 그렇다 하더라도 인간은 여기서 진리가 아닌 말은 한마디도 찾아낼 수 없을 것이다. 단지 완전한 이해에 이를 수 없을 따름이다.

 

17. 그러니 내가 보는 선을 고려하여 너에게 아무것도 빠뜨리지 말고 다 쓰라고 하는 것이다. 나의 뜻에 대한 하나의 비유, 하나의 효과도 영혼들에게는 유익한 은혜의 이슬이 될 수 있다. 불타는 태양이 진 후 초목들 위에 내리는 이슬과 같이, 몇 달이나 계속된 가뭄 끝에 내리는 소나기와 같이 말이다.

 

18. 너로서는 하나의 낱말 안에 있는 모든 선과 빛과 힘을 이해할 수 없지만, 네 예수는 그것을 알 뿐 아니라 그 말이 누구에게 도움이 되고 어떤 선을 베풀게 될지도 다 아는 것이다.”

 

19. 그런데 예수님께서는 이 말씀을 하시면서 나로 하여금 교회 한복판에 있는 탁자 하나를 보게 하셨다. 그 탁자 위에는 하느님의 뜻에 관한 모든 저서가 놓여 있었다. 다수의 공경할 만한 사람들이 그것을 둘러싸고 있었는데, 그들은 빛으로 변모되면서 성스러운 모습이 되었다.

 

20. 그리고 길을 가면서 마주치는 모든 사람에게 그 빛을 전하는 것이었다.

그러자 예수님께서 말씀을 이으셨다. “너는 교회를 굳건히 하고 완전한 승리 속에 떠오르게 할 이 천상 양식을 교회가 받아들일 때, 크나큰 선이 천상에서 내려오는 것을 볼 것이다.”

Necessity to write everything in these writings. The good they will produce. Indisputable purity, sanctity and strength of the doctrine of the Divine Will. It will be as a new Sun in the Church, which will renew Her and therefore transform the face of the earth. Abandonment in the Divine Volition.

I was thinking to myself about all that was written in these past days, and I said to myself that they were neither necessary nor serious things. I could have done without putting them on paper, but obedience wanted it so, and I had the duty to say ‘FIAT’ also in this... But as I was thinking about this, my beloved Jesus told me: "Yet, my daughter, everything was necessary in order to make known how to live in my Will. By not saying everything, some quality of how to live in It would be missing, and therefore the writings could not have the full effect of the living in my Will. For example, on the abandonment of living in my Will. If the soul did not live completely abandoned in my Will, she would be like a person who lived in a sumptuous palace, and now leaned out of a window, now out of a balcony, now went down to the front door. In this way the poor one goes through the rooms just shortly or in passing, and therefore she knows nothing of the rule, of the work it takes, of the goods which are in there, of what she can take, and of what she can give. Who knows how many goods are there, and she knows nothing about it. Therefore she does not love as she should love, nor does she esteem that palace as it deserves. Now, for the soul who lives in my Will and is not completely abandoned in It, self reflections, cares of herself, fears, disturbances, are nothing other than the windows, the balconies, the front doors that she forms in my Will; and going out very often, she is forced to see and feel the miseries of human life. And since the miseries are her own property while the riches of my Will are Mine, she becomes more attached to the miseries than to the riches, so she will not love nor enjoy the meaning of living in my Will. And since she formed the main entrance, one day or another she will go out to live in the miserable hovel of her own will. See, then, how complete abandonment in Me is necessary in order to live in my Will. My Will does not need the miseries of the human will; It wants the creature to live together with It - beautiful, just as she was delivered from Its Womb, without the miserable provision she made herself in the exile of life. Otherwise, there would be disparity, which would bring sorrow to my Will and unhappiness to the human will.

Do you see how necessary it is to make them understand that complete abandonment is needed in order to live in my Will? And you say it is not necessary to write about it? I feel compassion for you, because you do not see what I see, and that’s why you take it lightly. Instead, in my All-seeingness, I see that these writings will be for my Church as a new Sun which will rise in her midst; and men, attracted by its radiant light, will strive to transform themselves into this light and become spiritualized and Divinized, and therefore, renewing the Church, they will transform the face of the earth. The doctrine on my Will is the purest, the most beautiful, not subject to any shadow of the material or of interest, either in the supernatural or in the natural order. Therefore, just like the Sun, It will be the most penetrating, the most fecund, and the most welcomed and appreciated. And being Light, It will make Itself understood and will make Its own way. It will not be subject to doubt or suspicions of error; and if some words will not be understood, it will be because of too much light, which, eclipsing the human intellect, will not allow them to understand the whole fullness of the Truth. However, they will not find one word which is not true. At the most, they will not be able to comprehend it fully.

Therefore, in view of the good which I see, I push you to neglect nothing in writing. one saying, one effect, one simile on my Will can be like beneficial dew upon the souls, just as dew is beneficial on the plants after a day of burning sun, or like a pouring rain after long months of drought. You cannot understand all the good, the light, the strength contained in one word; but your Jesus knows it, and knows the ones whom it will serve and the good it will do."

Now, as He was saying this, He showed me a table in the midst of the Church, and all the writings on the Divine Will placed on it. Many venerable people surrounded that table and were transformed into light and divinized; and as they walked, they communicated that light to whomever they encountered. Then Jesus added: "You will see this great good from Heaven, when the Church will receive this celestial food, which will strengthen her and make her rise again to her full triumph."
